Chapter 1: Kagome's Death

His tears stained the ground as he lie next to Kagome's cold dead form of being . Only a few hours ago she had been very much alive. She had also been carrying his children. Things had been going smoothly until after his son , InuYakai had been born. After InuYakai had been placed next to his sisters Aizu and Kyoto he had walked back to Kagome's side and asked if she was okay. Her answer had only been to stroke his cheek and say" Care for them , and keep them safe as I will not be able to ,". Then she just died. At first he thought it a joke but eventually he realized she really was dead.

So here he was crying next to her lifeless form when the cry of his child broke the silence. He was quite amazed that he was now responsible for three tiny lives , triplets in fact. InuYakai had been crying but was now silent and trying to get a good look at his father. InuYakai had thick black hair and silver dog-like ears on top of his head. His eyes were blue rimmed in gold. The rest of his features were identical to his father's. His sisters Aizu and Kyoto both had thick white hair and black dog-ears. Aizu who was an thirty minutes older than InuYakai had gold eyes which were rimmed with a thick blue line. Kyoto was fifteen minutes older than InuYakai ,and had eyes that were the same as her sister's except the blue line was thinner and there was more gold. The rest of there features were identical to Kagome's.

He then thought about what he would do to care for them. At first he thought perhaps Shippo , Miroku and Sango could help. No he thought , Shippo is to young , the monk is a baka and Sango is married to hunting demons. If only there had been only one , that way he could care for the child , but he had three and couldn't ask for better. Well his only option now was to give them up. He put Kagome's body under bush so nothing could get to her, but not without a few tears escaping his eyes and he put the kids in the slings Kagome had for them. The girls went over a shoulder each so they were leaning thier heads on his back and his son went around his neck like a hammock. When he got to the Bone Eaters well he put all three on his back and jumped down. When he got to Kagome's time he checked to see if the kids were okay and he climbed out. He walked toward the front door and put the three down and started walking away but InuYakai wasn't about to give up so easily and when his father walked away he screamed.

"Apparently I'm not going to get rid of you so easily am I, " he said to his son , when an idea struck him. He knew InuYakai wasn't going to let him leave and he didn't want to trick his only son into staying. So he picked up his only son and said ,"Your coming home with me." He also decided to leave a letter explaining who these children were. When the letter was done he looked it over , the letter said :

Dear , Kagome's family

I am sorry to tell you that Kagome is dead and these two children are her daughters and I am there father.

There is also a little boy and his name is InuYakai and he will come with me to live in my time as I am only capable of caring for one child. The girls names are Aizu and Kyoto. Aizu is older than Kyoto and has more blue in her eyes than Kyoto. You may chose whether to tell them about me or not. Please do. When the girls are about ten , send them down the well. I will meet them there with there brother. Please do these things or I might force you to and we don't want that do we. Tell the girls that I will hopefully see them in ten years or so.

'InuYasha'

Chapter 2

InuYakai was sleeping on his futon when his Uncle Shippo came in through the window and started yelling " Wake up little InuYakai its your birthday and your father and I are gonna take you to see your sisters at the Bone Eaters well !" Shippo had become a strong respectable demon and was now the same height as InuYasha and he acted the same too.

" I'm up all ready , quit screaming Uncle Shippo , you baka. And don't call me little because if my memory serves you weren't so big yourself at ten , " said InuYakai. He wore a blue gi and hakama which were slightly ruffled from his sleep. This was how just about every morning went , him and Uncle Shippo arguing. He was the exact replica of his father when he was that age save for the eyes of course.

" Ha Ha very funny, " said Uncle Shippo sarcastically , "Now go outside , your father is waiting for you." And with that , exited out the window , but considering since InuYakai heard a thump and a "curse you ground" he guessed it was more of a fall than a jump.

Wow he thought to himself. He had been living in the Feudal Era for exactly a decade and today he was hopefully gonna meet his sisters. He wondered what it would be like to see them for the first time since that one glance he stole when he wasn't even an hour old. When he got outside his father looked at him smiled and said :

" I see you have caused Shippo to have another bruise on his head."

" Its not my fault he doesn't use the door when he's angry ,"he said " and unlike Uncle Miroku he's not a monk but a full demon and can't calm himself as monks have a tendency to do , and being half demon I should know how a temper can blind you."

"I have no idea what you just said ,"replied his father," but eat , we have to leave soon if we want to get there before midday."

"I'm to excited to eat ," said InuYakai.

"Stubborn , as usual ," scowled Shippo , as he came out from behind the hut rubbing his head.

"Well if InuYakai isn't going to eat ,"said InuYasha , " I guess we can leave and get there before the girls. Oh and Shippo your coming whether you like it or not."

As they started to walk , InuYakai started to think. His childhood was here , in the Feudal Era , and he never intended to leave it. He looked at his father. It had been hard for him the first few years , being without a mother in all but his father told him he should feel sorry for his sisters. They didn't even have a father. When he had turned six his father had taken him on one of his oh so grand adventures whereas before he had stayed with Uncle Shippo. Ever since then he had gone on many adventures with his father. Some had been quite fun and others had been perilous. He had also heard a great many stories from his father but his favorites were the ones with his mother in it.

"Hey InuYakai," yelled Shippo , interupting his thoughts ,"come on were nearly there and don't you wanna see your sisters!"

As he ran to catch up he didn't realize that his life was going to change forever.

Chapter 3: Aizu and Kyoto

Aizu and Kyoto were both pretending to sleep in thier bunk beds. They both knew thier grandma was leaning on the door frame and watching them lovingly. They knew it was because today was thier birthday , and they would finally get to meet the father that they knew nothing about. The only thing they knew was that thier mother had died giving birth to three of them and had taken thier brother because without thier mother he couldn't successfully raise them. So they had been left here and would meet thier father and brother for first time today. When grandma left , Aizu who was on the top bunk peaked her head over the egde and said :

"Are you awake Kyoto?"

"Of course I am , grandmother's aura is so strong how could I not be awake ,"said Kyoto who acted more like her father than she knew.

"Hey Kyoto!"

"What , "said Kyoto irritably. Sometimes it was hard to tell who was the older sibling.

"Well I was thinking ......".

"Theres something new,"said Kyoto. Aizu glared at her younger sister and continued speaking:

"I was thinking we could get a picture of our father show it to the kids at school ." She was of course reffering to the children who made fun of thier dog ears and said that thier mother was batty young girl who fell in love with a street dog and had puppies. Thier grandma said that thier ears were only hereditary on there fathers side and they should be proud to look like thier father. Aizu thought that the only good thing about being like thier father was there amazing strength and running abilities. Kyoto thought everything was good about them and had one several fights with her amazingly sharp claws. She was always getting in trouble though.

The little party they had been thrown was over and thier father still wasn't here yet. Uncle Sota said that there was an extra present in the well shrine but they had to find it first. So here they were searching the well shrine from top to bottom but they were as unsuccessful as ever.

"I think Uncle Sota tricked us, " said Kyoto.

"Or maybe it actually in the well ,"suggested Aizu.

"No way I'm not going in there!"

"Fine then we'll go together ," said Aizu and she grabbed her sister's hand and jumped. As they passed through time without knowing it they felt odd , then they hit the bottom of the BoneEaters well.

"I knew Uncle Sota tricked us ,"yelled Kyoto as she looked around. But just then they heard a voice come from the entrance to the well. It said:

"Hey InuYasha , I think your daughters are here!"

Chapter 4: Encounters

InuYakai was leaning on a tree while his father was helping his sisters out of the well. Kyoto was complaining loudly and Aizu's eyes were wide with surprise. When they were finally out of the well they were all quite silent. But of course it was Kyoto who spoke first , and she did not sound to pleased at what had happened.

"Okay people ,"said Kyoto who was being very like InuYasha at this point ," number 1:I have no idea who you people are. Number 2: where the hell are we! And number 3: why in the world are you wearing those ridiculous dog ears on your head!"

"Your one to talk ,"said InuYakai "where do you think you inherited those dog ears."

Aizu then decided to speak up "From our father,"she then realized who these people were and said," little brother."

"What are you talking about ," yelled Kyoto ,"there is no way that our brother could be this much of brat! "

"I'm not a brat and I'm only younger than you by 30 minutes Aizu ,"yelled InuYakai as he bared his fangs. The girls were baring there fangs as well and getting ready to pounce. InuYasha thought now would be a good time to step in before they killed each other.

"Now before you kill each other lets talk ," said InuYasha ," I see Aizu has this all figured out but what about you Kyoto?"

"I always go by what Aizu says in these sort of situations ," said Kyoto ," so I'm pretty sure that your our father , and that brat is our brother I just have no idea who he is ," she said pointing to Shippo.

"I'm your Uncle Shippo ," said Shippo enthusiasticly ," even though technically I'm not your uncle , but InuYakai has been calling me that since he could talk , but you do have an uncle on your father's side his name is_WHAM!" InuYasha had just hit Shippo on the head with a sheathed sword and the kids had burst out laughing. But Aizu suddenly got very serious and said:

"Father tell us everything , about you , your life and for the most part what you are and where are we?"

"Well you see ," said InuYasha ," over sixty years ago I tryed to steal the sacred Shikon Jewel so I could become a full demon , but they priestess Kikyo shot me with a spelled arrow that would cause me to sleep until she removed it , the arrow that had shot me had embedded itself in a tree after it had gone through me so I was stuck to a tree for fifty years." He heard slight giggles from the girls. He scowled. Then Aizu asked:

"What do you mean become full demon."

"I'm a half demon ," said InuYasha stiffly ,"my mother was a human and my father was a dog youkai."

"Oh ,"said Aizu ,"so does that mean we're part dog youkai too?"

"Yes ," answered InuYasha.

"Good ,"said Aizu ," now get on with the story."

"Then about 12 years ago ,"continued InuYasha ," your mother came through the very same well that you jumped through and she was attacked by a horrible centipede demon which ripped open your mother's side in order to get to the Shikon Jewel , which was there because your mother was the reincarnation of Kikyo , who had died as a result of our battle and had asked to be burned along with the Shikon Jewel." InuYasha paused thinking about that faitful day , until Kyoto nearly ripped off his head because he wasn't continueing the story.

" Then the centipede demon ate the Sacred Jewel ," said InuYasha as he disconnected Kyoto from his head ," and your mother freed me from my sleep and I killed the centipede demon. But then I attacked your mother but the sister of Kikyo , the priestess Kaede put this wretched necklace around my neck so that if your mother said sit , the necklace would pull me to the ground , face first.

"Sit ," said Kyoto confused , but as soon as she said that InuYasha was pulled face first into the ground. "Oh , sorry ," said Kyoto.

"Well anyway the Jewel was soon stolen again but this time by a crow demon that stole a little boy from a village. When he was safe your mother shot an arrow at the crow but when it hit it shattered the Jewel and for 2 years your mother and I searched for the Shikon Shards and defeated the evil demon Naraku , and we grew close and eventually she had you three but sadly it killed her and to believe this all happened in the Feudal Era of Japan."

"Hey dad can we take Aizu and Kyoto to meet Sango and Miroku now ," asked InuYakai?

"Of course ," said InuYasha.

Chapter 5: The pervert and the demon slayer

Sango sat outside petting Kirara with a daydreamy look on her face , when she spotted InuYasha , Shippo and InuYakai walking towards them , accompanied by two young girls she didn't recognize.

"Hey Miroku ," yelled Sango ," InuYasha has come back , and he has his daughters with him!" He came stumbling out because thier young son had just been throwing temper tantrum and sadly Miroku had been watching him when he decided to throw it. Sango ran over to InuYasha and said:

"Why didn't you get back earlier?"

"Because ,"said InuYasha ," the girl's grandmother didn't tell them anything , and Kyoto wanted everything explained."

"Hey ,"protested Kyoto ,"its not my fault I'm like you." At that moment Miroku came toward them carrying Shinta who was being very fitfull at the moment. He said:

"Konnichiha InuYasha. I am glad you were successful in being reunited with your daughters, " and with that he bowed to the discomfort of Shinta , who was handed to his mother almost instantly.

"That little boy has quite a strong spirit, "commented InuYasha, "Sango could you tell the girls were they'll be staying,"he turned to the girls, " I am sorry I can't spend more time with you but InuYakai will tell you anything you need to know." And with that he walked off without looking back.

"Well that was rude, "commented Aizu.

"I agree, "said Sango, "but you know I've known him for nearly 13 years and he has never changed, "she sighed, "well there are a few things I'd like to hear from your mouths , like your names for instance."

"My name is Aizu , and this is my sister Kyoto, "said Aizu.

"I can introduce myself , thanks, "said Kyoto, "hey Sango could you tell us about you and Miroku?"

"Sure, "said Sango , and with that she told the girls all about her life , loves and losses.

Over the next few weeks Sango taught them how to use a lighter version of her boomerang. She also taught them all the dangers of the Feudal era. Uncle Shippo and InuYakai proved good friends and adventurers. Since everyone could use a weapon they never had to worry about getting hurt. But one day this changed.

Uncle Shippo had been with thier father on one of his excursions so it was a little more dangerous. InuYakai had liked going on adventures with his sisters and had wanted to go on a riskier one this time. They were in the clearing were thier father had been shot down by Kikyo when they heard it. It said in cold menacing voice:

"This is something I've never seen. Three hanyou children caught off thier guard."

Chapter 6: A run in with Sesshoumaru

A man with white hair and a blue crescent moon on his forehead stepped out of the shadows. He circled the three like a vultrure , looking at them like he had seen them before. He carried a fluffy white boa over his shoulder and violet stripes showed on his face. All three children had thier weapons drawn in a defensive stance. The man looked at them and asked:

"Who are you?"

And of course Kyoto being the most out spoken of the three answered in her own fashion. "I am Kyoto and this is my brother, InuYakai and my sister Aizu. We are the children of Lord InuYasha, so I think it would be unwise for you to attack us, Fluffy,"she made that last statement mockingly. But as soon as she had she had stated her father's name he had started smirking and then he said:

"I never knew."

"What, that Lord InuYasha had children,"said InuYakai.

"Shut up, "growled the man, "but to answer your question, no. But it so happens that I, Sesshoumaru, happen to be an uncle ." The kids looked at each other confused, and then Aizu said:

"What are you talking about, you stupid baka. There is no way your our uncle." But as soon as soon she said that Sesshoumaru ran with demonic speed and caught Aizu by the back of her shirt before she could even hold up her weapon. As he held her up he said.

"Never call me that or you wil die." As he said this Aizu was insulting him even more and screaming her head off. Just then someone jumped through the trees and said:

"Put her down Sesshoumaru." InuYasha had heard Aizu's screams and had jumped off to rescue his daughter. Lord Sesshoumaru looked at his little half-brother and then at his slightly bleeding hand (Aizu had been chewing on it). He then looked at the other two children who had thier weapons drawn and ready to attack. Then Sesshoumaru asked a perfectly honest and unlike Sesshoumaru question. He asked:

"So tell me InuYasha , did you ever intend on telling me I was an uncle."

"And give you another way to steal my Tetsusaiga, "snarled InuYasha, "I think not."

The two brothers stared at each other, hate burning in thier eyes. Sesshoumaru, being better (okay alot better) at hiding his emotions looked as though he was mearly sad, not hateful. And yet he truly did hate his hate his younger half-brother but that didn't mean he had to hate his nephew and nieces, no it did not.

So right then and there he made a decision. He took out his Tensiega and he raised it to Aizu's neck and scratched her neck ever so slightly. Aizu was whimpering thinking he would surely kill her. But he did not, he simply dropped her and said:

"I will not pretend this never happened, InuYasha. The mark on Aizu's neck will tell me where she is at all times." And then using his demonic speed he cut InuYakai and Kyoto. "The same goes for them as well, "said Lord Sesshoumaru. He then walked off into the shadows. Somewhere in Sesshoumaru's cold emotionless heart he knew those marks would save his brother's children.

Then Kyoto broke the silence that had engulfed them since he had left, "Well that was wierd."

"Feh, "growled InuYasha, "nosy brother." Aizu however knew in her heart that her life would depend on Uncle Sesshoumaru one day. And then a rustling in the bushes alerted everyone and they were poised for an attack.

Then the thing jumped out of its hiding place. InuYakai hit it on the head. Then they all heard "What in the 7 hells was that for". Oops it was only Uncle Shippo. Uncle Shippo then asked in a slightly dizzy tone:

"What I miss?" InuYasha smiled and said:

"More than you'll ever know."

A/N:That was a nice ending don't you think. I thought it'd be fun to write a Sesshoumaru chap. . I had loads of fun writing this. Hope you liked it.

Chapter 7: Naraku's Appearance

For the whole walk home InuYasha, InuYakai and Kyoto argued about whos fault it was that Sesshomaru found them. Aizu however, stayed in her own little bubble. She was thinking about the newly healed scar on her neck. For some reason her cut had healed faster than her sibling's cuts had. She then realized she had fallen behind, and she ran to catch up. When she did catch up she found her father, brother and sister in a very heated argument. "How in the seven hells could it be the tree's fault that Uncle Sesshomaru found us," yelled Kyoto.

"Thats what I'd like to know, "asked InuYasha, looking at InuYakai. InuYakai looked guilty and not so sure of himself.

"Its the tree's fault because, "InuYakai paused, "because I'm looking for something to blame it on other than myself, "he admitted.

"Brat, "scolded Kyoto, bopping her brother on the head. Aizu looked at her sister, a smile playing on her lips. "What are you looking at, " snapped Kyoto.

"Nothing, "said Aizu in an innocent little voice. But inside she sighed. 'So this is family, ' thought Aizu. For the longest time she didn't have one, and now she did. Life was great, though only for a little while.

Later that night everyone was eating and having a good time. InuYasha had told Sango and Miroku about the days events and admitted to everyone that the reason he had been gone alot recently was because he had been putting up shields to keep Sesshomaru from finding his pups. Aizu and Kyoto played with little Shinta and InuYakai practiced his sword techniqe. Every thing was fine, until they went to bed.

Aizu was having troubled dreams. She kept on seeing Uncle Sesshomaru who was telling her to "find it. Find it within yourself". "Find what" she would ask, but then the dream would continue, showing a vision of her father, writhing in pain by the feet of some demon in a pelt of something. He was laughing and saying "You don't have all of it. I'm alive. Die InuYasha" he then would take her father's sword and thrust it downwards, skewering her father. She then would wake up in a cold sweat, breathing heavily and then she would drift back to sleep telling herself it was only a dream.

She was at the end of one of those dreams and she woke up to see a the demon from her dreams, standing right next to her. "Who are you, " she asked in a timid little voice. His head turned to her and he quickly pulled a knife to her throat. She screamed.

"What in the seven hells was that, "Naraku and Aizu heard InuYasha yell.

"Damn, "said Naraku under his breath as he jumped out the window. InuYasha came bursting into Aizu's room only to find Naraku already out the window, carrying Aizu like baggage over his shoulder.

InuYasha wanted to go after her but Miroku held him back saying they wouldn't catch him and shouldn't waste thier energy.

They were all sitting by the fire thinking when Miroku said, "So thats why it never healed. My hand I mean, "he said looking up, " it seemed to heal at first but there was always suction. And every time I cut my hand the suction became stronger as long as wound was open. I thought it was just a part of the healing process, but it turns out I was wrong."

"How are we gonna find my sister though, "asked Kyoto?

"I guess we only have one option,"said InuYakai, "we have to find Sesshomaru."

Everyone looked at him, a look of surprise plastered on thier faces.

"Why in the seven hells would we do that, "asked an angry InuYasha?

"Because of these tracking marks on our necks, "said InuYakai simply. "If we find Sesshomaru, he can lead us to Aizu".

Miroku then stood up and said, "Then tomorrow we find Sesshomaru."

Chapter 8: The long awaited battle scene

"Don't touch me!"spat Aizu. She was in Naraku's castle. It was identical to the one he had before, except it was in a different spot. And Naraku was bugging the hell out of Aizu. "I'd rather you kill me than go on with this torture!" Naraku was poking her, repeatedly with a kodachi, and it bugged her to no end.

"Consider yourself lucky, Aizu. I could do much worse than this." He poked her again.

"At least I had chance at dying from anyother tortures! This is just annoying." He poked her again. "Why you..." Aizu tryed to dive at him, but a barrier threw her back. It let Naraku in and out because he was a demon, while she was only a quarter, thus making it impossible for her to get through.

"Don't strain yourself. Its impossible for one with human blood, such as you, to get through that barrier."

"Is that an insult?"she asked getting ready to take another go at him.

"No, it is simply fact. But you may take it as an insult if you wish."

"Why you dirty...!"she jumped at him again, and again she was thrown back. "Why don't you just kill me and get it over with?"she asked.

"Partly because you wish it of me, and also because I need to lure your father here so I can get the Shikon Jewel. And there is something about you, Aizu. It is power like none other, and I wish to harness that power and use it for my own. But in order in order to do that I need the Shikon Jewel."

"Feh, me powerfull. Your either crazy or dillusional."

"You may deny it, girl, but you are indeed powerfull. But first I need to figure out what that power is first." He then threw a little sliver of stone at her and as soon as it hit, she felt a pain as though her soul was being wrenched from her body. And it was.

A smokey figure emerged from her still body. It was ghost-like, but it glowed pink. And then it slid back into Aizu's body and she took a sharp intake of breath. "What did you do?!" yelled Aizu, breathing hard.

"Its simple really, "said a bemused Naraku. "I extracted your soul to look at its light. If the light is white it means you are human. If the light is blue it means you are demon. If the light is pale blue it goes for that bastard you call a father."

"Don't you dare insult my father! He is much greater than you shall ever become! Even if he is hanyou!" yelled Aizu.

"As I was saying," said Naraku, deaf to her insults, "that light represents something, most of the time your species, but you, your light glowed the color of life giving for a female. I shall use that to return to my former strength."

"You will not!" argued Aizu. "I don't even know what your talking about!" Aizu was nearly in tears this guy made her so mad.

"Ah, but I have yet to explain the last color your soul can become. It can become red. Like blood. It means that your soul is fouled with blood, and you wash away that blood with even more blood. That is the color of my soul and it shall soon be the color of yours."

"Noooo!" screamed Aizu. She sat there rocking back and forth. She was going insane being with this sick, twisted-minded demon. But then there was explosion on the wall opposite the screaming hanyou.

And when the dust settled there stood InuYasha, looking pleased with himself. There was also an annoyed looking Sesshomaru, two cheering young hanyous and a laughing monk.

"Did you have to demolish the wall, InuYasha?" asked Sesshomaru, monotonously but clearly annoyed.

"Well if you have such a problem with how I make my entrances do it yourself!" fumed InuYasha, and then he realized the one screaming in the background was Aizu. Then InuYasha positioned his sword to make him look dramatic and said, "Naraku, you've hurt my family for the last time. Prepare to die!" And InuYasha charged at his greatest enemy of all time.

Chapter 9: One life to live

InuYasha dived at Naraku. But just before he was about to hit, several demon puppets arose and he hit them instead of the real thing. Shippo and Miroku who were in the background, realized Naraku's intentions as soon as the first demon puppet arose.

"InuYasha," Miroku yelled to him, "Naraku intends to make it so you are not be able to find him."

"It's like my old Multiply trick!" added Shippo.

'Damn,' thought InuYasha, 'If only Kagome were here, she could be able to pick out the real one.'

Miroku and Shippo had jumped into the the fight as well, so as to diminish the demon puppets faster, but when they destroyed one, ten more appearred. But InuYakai and Kyoto had a plan of thier own.

"Naraku wants our sister right?" said Kyoto.

"Hai." was InuYakai's answer.

"Well we get Aizu, and the real Naraku will try to take her back. And then when he has us by the neck, we scream and dad'll kill him."

InuYakai raised his eyebrows. "Risky, but it may work. I also think you've been watching to many anime videos." He only knew about anime because Kyoto wouldn't shut up about it sometimes.

So they snook over to where there were as few demon puppets as possible, and walked along the wall. Aizu was in the back of the room so if they intended to go unseen they would have to move very carefully. It took awhile, but they finally reached thier sister. She was curled in a little ball and rocking back in forth as though she was going insane. Her eyes were wide with fear. InuYakai tryed to get her to her feet while Kyoto explained what they were doing to there obviously very distressed sibling.

"Aizu, me and InuYakai are gonna get you out of here okay." But Aizu made no reaction. Kyoto was worried about her mental status, but that could wait for later. For now all that mattered was getting her, and themselves, out of harms way. They were about to go back the way they came, when InuYakai gave a small gasp of pain, and fell onto the floor. Kyoto rushed over to her brother, trying to figure out why he had fallen, when she felt cold fingers on her neck.

"Silly little girl, you thought you could out smart me. Think again." It was Naraku, and he now had both Aizu and Kyoto. He was choking Kyoto, and Aizu was sitting there so scared she didn't know what to do. Kyoto screamed, but it was a weak and not very loud scream, so InuYasha hadn't heard it. She was going to die, she knew it.

But, still at the door, Sesshomaru saw what was happening. He expected InuYasha to come to thier rescue, but he was to oblivious to figure out his daughters were in danger. So, more out of boredom than heroicness, Sesshomaru came at Naraku from behind and impaled him, right through were his heart should have been. Although Naraku had no heart, it was still a place of weakness, and as Sesshomaru's poison spread through out his body he screamed and died.

All of the puppets vanished and became but earth. InuYasha, Miroku and Shippo looked around to see what had happened. Sesshomaru flicked bits of Naraku's flesh off his claws, and looked to see Aizu screaming on the floor.

"What the hell is wrong with her?!" yelled InuYasha. "Did you do something to her Sesshomaru?"

"I assure, I did nothing. If I had she'd already be dead."

But while they were talking, something of much greater importance was happening. Aizu was trapped in her mind. As soon as Naraku had died she felt a pain like none other. And she had fallen into darkness. Physically she wasn't dead, but her soul was and she now followed Naraku to the depths of hell. But as she followed him, something stopped and she heard a woman's voice.

"Aizu, what are you doing here?"

"I don't know, who are you?"

"Oh Aizu, I'm your mother." A very pretty woman came into her vision. Aizu could easily see how she could be her mother. She looked like Kyoto, or more like Kyoto looked like her. "Oh, I've just figured out why your here. You can give life, Aizu. You came because you needed your mother. Okay, I'm ready." Kagome held out her hand. Aizu took it, and lead her to were she thought her body was.

But as she lead her mother out of death, she heard a voice in her head. It was Naraku's.

'Aizu, you may have eluded me this time, but our souls are connected in a way you will never be able to break.' Aizu egnored him, but his words stuck in her head. But then she realized the cold that had been enveloping her was lifting. She was returning to her body, her mother in tow.

There was a powerful jerk, and she felt that she was back in her body. She lifted herself up and looked at the people around her. She smiled. They were still in Naraku's castle, but everything just seemed really ok. But then she felt someone laying beside her. She looked and there was her mother, in the flesh, wearing nothing. Apparently Naraku was right, she did have the power to give life. Then InuYasha started yelling.

"What the hell just happened! We thought you were dead! And who in hell is this wench that just appearred out of no where just before you came to?"

"Who're you calling a wench?" InuYasha was struck by the familiarity of the voice. "Sit! And give me your shirt!" With InuYasha on the ground, Kagome ripped off the top of his FireRat kimono, and wrapped it around her body. She got very surprised stares from Sesshomaru, Miroku and Shippo, who had all thought her dead. Her children just wondered who she was.

"Ka-Kagome?" stuttered Shippo.

"Yes, Aizu brought me back. She has the power to restore life in those long dead."

Before anyone could say anything else, InuYasha jumped up and kissed his long dead mate.

"Blegh, Father, why are you kissing that woman?" asked InuYakai with a look of disgust on his face.

"Because, son, this is your mother. You can thank Aizu for bringing her back to us."

Chapter 10: Sesshomaru's apprentice

Aizu woke up from a very peacefull sleep. It had been two weeks since thier return from Naraku's castle and the return of her mother. Everything was just so perfect now Aizu couldn't explain it, except for one thing. In her dreams of fluffy bunnies frolicking through the forest Naraku's form appeared behind a tree every so often. But Aizu paid no mind, she thought it was just because of her very traumatic experiance two weeks ago. Aizu got out of bed and was surprised to here yelling coming from the kitchen.

It was InuYasha yelling at Sesshomaru. Apparently Sesshomaru needed something of InuYasha, but InuYasha wouldn't give him the item unless he did something for him, and Sesshomaru wouldn't do it.

"Well why the hell not?! When she brought Kagome back she nearly died! I don't want her using her gift if she doesn't have to!" Aizu immediately knew they were talking about her. Either Sesshomaru wished to use her gift to bring someone back to life or he just wanted her.

"But she didn't die,"came Sesshomaru's voice. "So if she didn't die her first time why would she die the second time?"

"She could be weaker this time around!" yelled InuYasha. "Or maybe she didn't die because the person she brought back was human, not demon! Listen Sesshomaru, if you do not help Aizu understand her gift, you will not use her to bring our father back."

Aizu was surprised. Her uncle wished to bring her grandfather back, but her father was being reluctant. He was worried for her safety. She was glad she was showing her love. She had been greatly humbled by her encounter with Naraku, and she was greatfull for every little thing now. But none the less she was insulted that her father thought she wouldn't be able to give life again. She stormed out into the dining to confront her father.

"Ah, Aizu, please tell this idiot you call a father that your capabilities are strong enough to bring a demon back to life." said Sesshomaru smugly. What he didn't expect was an equally smug return.

"Ah, shut it." said Aizu, annoyed. "Father, do really think I couldn't do it again?"

"Hai, I don't think you could do it again. If you learned to do it Sesshomaru's perhaps I'd let you try."

"Fine!" Aizu turned to Sesshomaru. "Guess what Uncle, I'm your new apprentice. Now come teach me!"

Both InuYasha and Sesshomaru were surprised out how defiant she was being. Normally they don't start being like that till they were thirteen. InuYasha tryed one last excuse make her stay, "Aizu, we need to ask your mother first."

"Right." Then she yelled out, "HEY MOTHER! Get over here!"

Kagome came out of the kitchen, wiping her hands with a dish towel. "You could at least say please. And I heard your conversation, and yes you can go."

"Thanks mom, "then she turned to Sesshomaru and her father, "yo, Uncle, let's go." In his shock he just stood there, staring. Aizu was already at the door before she realized Sesshomaru wasn't behind her, and then she turned back and started yelling at him. "Hello! You have legs! Try moving them! You'd get around alot faster!"

Sesshomaru did as he was told, and moved his legs. But as he walked out the door, he couldn't but feel, what was it called, ah yes, happy. So for once in his long life he was happy. He was happy because he was taking on his niece as an apprentice.
